Carbon nanotubes
Carbon nanotubes, a typical one-dimensional carbon material with radial dimensions on the order of nanometers and axial dimensions on the order of micrometers and closed at both ends of the tube, are composed mainly of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal shape to form a single layer to several layers or tens of layers of coaxial circular tubes. Carbon nanotubes, as one-dimensional nanomaterials, are light in weight, perfectly connected by the hexagonal structure, and have exceptionally superior mechanical, electrical and chemical properties, which have promising applications in many fields such as energy, catalysis, environment and electronics.
