Introduction

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear organic polymer and a polymeric water treatment flocculant product that adsorbs suspended particles in water and acts as a linking bridge between particles to form larger flocs of fine particles and accelerate the speed of sedimentation. This process is called flocculation, and because of its good flocculating effect PAM is used as a flocculant in water treatment and is widely used in sewage treatment.


Main uses

Polyacrylamides are important water-soluble polymers and have valuable properties such as flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, drag reduction and dispersion. These properties vary according to the ion of the derivative. As a result, they are widely used in oil extraction, mineral processing, coal washing, metallurgy, chemical industry, paper making, textiles, sugar production, medicine, environmental protection, building materials and agricultural production.
